As AA discovered with the stories in the Big Book, people sometimes find the spark
they need to begin their journey of recovery by reading about someone else who
shares a similar story. The experience and hope can sometimes be the difference
between identifying in and identifying out for the newcomer. The
strength and hope can sometimes help an old timer get through a difficult time.
If you would like your story included here please email it to me in either Word or text format. It should be not much more than 5000 words to keep the story size manageable. Use the story size in the Big Book as a guide. I hope you will be a part of this valuable recovery tool. Remember, whatever you recovered from, alcoholism, drug addiction, overeating, gambling does not matter as long as your recovery was done with the aid of a 12 Step Program. |
